[part 2 po, ser hansel]

new threads may rise and new handles may be known in the next few months or years but what's important is that this thing happened now and we're all here to either watch this crazy surf history being made or be part of it all.... we existed now, man! i think this is worth some cheers. wink

man, english isnt the only language.... however, i believe that whoever has a john the baptist would be better off having a jdb that's good in chinese. hehehe... wink

yeah, at the end of sesame street.... smiley and you can even find the big blue house within the vicinity..... heheheh... not too good a sight but a landmark nevertheless... wink jam ka minsan! hehehehe... im still fixing things up here so that when i get back, the shaman's house will have it's first ever evolution.... cheesy for all the people who wanna come around my fire. wink

boiling points... right now, this is one of the most intriguing and puzzling thing im experiencing.... it's somewhat funny and exciting and scary in some way.... something new all the time.... makes me wanna anticipate and puts butterflies in my stomach whenever i see that there's a new post in the daet2 thread.... makes me smile in my mind about it all.... wink boiling points.... some posts make me wanna boil some posts make me wanna cool down.... it's all balanced out in the end. smiley

whatever thing you achieve by reading and writing stuffs in this thread are your own satisfaction, man... as long as you get to grow some way, that's another happy man in the world. smiley

yang "mayaman" na isyung yan, hehehehe.... go read my other posts.... bwehehehe... wink

it's not good interpreting just one part of a whole post and not comparing them with the rest of the thread before making some inferences.... it's like how the media most of the times interviews a person for his side and looks sympathetic with the person stating his side but when the media shows the thing in the public, lots of the more important points have been truncated and thus misleading everyone else hearing the finished product out. and then that'll bring us to politics again and then it gets so so messy...... hehehee... i wont expound but if you cant understand everything in the way that i was supposed to make you understand, it means you're in a different hi-way of thought and it's still all cool.. we play this game for different reasons and in different ways and we're all gonna play as long as we enjoy the ride... each person's point of view and interpretation is a grand thrill in itself and no one can boast to be better than another about each of em... for each a road, rightie? wink

nobody wins and nobody loses in the end except those who cant stand themselves afterwards.... wink someone keeps reminding me that "He who binds to himself a joy Does the winged life destroy; But he who kisses the joy as it flies Lives in eternity’s sunrise." i am starting to understand what it truly means.... smiley [ if you're reading this, this is a tribute to you smiley ]

i just had my experience handling a video cam for some photoshoot and video coverage of some trucks inbound and outbound somewhere in manila and i realized how much im missing with not having a video cam... i always am not up to competitions but if i cant get the vid cam my own long way, ill probably really consider taking that competition... just for the vidcam... hahaha... crazeeenesss!!! hhehee... cheesy or was it just a digital still-shot cam?

basta pare, pag asa daet ako tapos napadaan ka sa daet, very welcome ka sa shaman's house.... jam tayo lahat.... respect, trust and love... yun lang. smiley

<dagdag po itong part na ito>
if you're not bored when you decided to open the forum and read posts here then you are so good at making people feel flattered... smiley
</dagdag po itong part na ito>

<eto hindi na...>
hmm... meron pa pala, you know what will make this post better? a background music... ben harper... jack johnson... or even the cure.... any sort of thing really... depending on who's reading it.... we're listening to incubus' talk shows on mute while im writing this and i didnt think and looked at the title of that previous song until i thought of writing this last paragraph.... good day, ser. cheesy

dumb? hahahah... e kaya pala tayo nagkakaintindihan e... wink malabo pa rin ba ako makipag-usap? wink

those epic scripts are caused by 2hrs sleep and non-stop travel the whole day haluan ng soundtrip at aircon at maraming computer sa buong kwarto ng opisina ng kaibigan ko... hehehhe... wink

anyway, am really sorry to those who got badly affected by my rich-conio comments... i dont consider all better-to-do people to be that "rich-conio"... it's just a term widely given to those better-to-do who's got bad attitudes towards others, minsan kapareho nilang better-to-do minsan less-to-do sa kanila... i wont try to explain about this na. im dropping it. tingin koy hindi ito tamang topic ng entertainment. masyadong sensitive na issue..

peace. smiley

hi mike... smiley

there's a hardware shop in tramo... about a few (30-40) meters from edsa road, on the right side... near the ralph's wines (before you reach it)... that sell ding repair materials.. fiber cloth, resin, hardener, etc... if you know someone who knows how to repair and can help you, check that shop out... it'll save you lotsa money. wink there's a shop in catanduanes that sells branded ding repair kits, too... i believe the owner's in this forum, too.. ask around. smiley

hi turtle_boy... wasnt able to push through with the trip... ahaha.... maybe next weekend.. work (as usual)... sige... ill tell ghe about you guys.

hi kurdec... this is how they do it in daet (just in case you wanna do it on your own and do some experiments).. they cut off the fiber cover and let the foam dry up in a shade... then they put the cover back and seal it with resin.they do put resin inside, too, sorta like glue to paste the fibercover to the board.... pero it will change the weight or balance of the board (i think, haha).... anyway, i wont be able to say that it's foolproof and right... it's just what ive seen them do..

peace out. smiley

"surfing" addict who doesnt understand whatever i said before... ill repeat for you one last time... i dont boast of riding 8-10ft waves... tho i was able to ride 1 once in daet out of pure luck i guess... and i dont wanna compete with a super surfer dude like you nor with anyone else.. i just wanna surf... and it wasnt even my ride i was talking about... it was the wave size.. and it's for those surfers who wanna be stoked as much as i am and wanna try daet... not you, god surfer... im sharing my messages for surfers who arent as macho as you... who can relax whenever anyone else would say they saw 8-10ft waves or more and wont think that they would take your throne away from you...

but yeah, you can wait all you want, super macho surfer dude! smiley and dont worry, i dont expect you to go to daet and look shit when that 8-10ft happen to come to bagasbas beach so you dont need to be ashamed of anything...nor do you need to go to daet just to prove me wrong or in case im right, just so you can ride that 8-10ft and tell the world that you're the bestest surfer... that you are THE SURFER the lores have been talking about... smiley

anyway, next time you're so high, dont do it here... just chill out on looking at the the waves or at any relaxing and elevating soundtrip.

okiks ka dude! relaks ka lang pare... im not taking your lollipop away from you. wink

elo... if you have a shortboard already, try and feel yourself on it.. i mean... your balance... i believe it's also the same way as when you practiced balancing with a longboard... takes time, too... but you'll eventually find your balance on laying on the shortie... standing up is almost the same as in longboard except that you have to be faster in shortboard and have to be better in balancing than in longboard coz shortboards are more wiggly... anyway, i dunno the waves there coz im just in the philippines so you have to get others advices where you can use shortboard... it doesnt really work well in white water unlike longboards.... that is all i can say.. hope anything helps.. smiley

since when did this forum become a black-poser's board? ey "rage", if you want fights, you should go meet us all in person and say all these black-slang cow dungs going out of your head. and then we'll see how full of shit your brain is.

this whole issue of pointing out other people or places' faults is not helping anyone. why cant we just let things be for anybody else? why are there people who feel too affected when somebody else try and tell on places or spots?

here's one of the things ive heard... there are guys who live in manila who hated dodo for telling of spots in zamba... why are the manilenos too freaked out about people going to zamba spots? who owns these spots ba? are they there for just a few "ELITE" people or are they for every single person who appreciates them?

there's definitely a big problem with people's attitudes here in the philippines. here are the few characteristics being shown in this forum by those few:

1. pakialamero - the need to have their say in everything here... the need to be the standardization body for whatever's going on in surfing in the philippines. it's like there's a sense of ownership in everything even if they dont own them all. why do they need to have their say to others' places or spots? is that coz they want to be the ones in control? or they want changes for the better? buti sana kung pagnagsalita, para mas maging maayos ang lahat. o para ma-identify ano mali.. sometimes, the issues arent really issues....

2. insecure - people can say anything about any places they went... i just cant understand why there are people who feels offended when someone shares experiences or places or spots.. again, the only reason i can find is that these insecure beings need to be in control and cant stand the fact that we are composed of different spots and places and a lot of other people who have been given each his or her own mind to be able to think, process, decide on their own.

3. tsismoso't tsismosa - when someone does something, everybody knows and talks about it. people should get their own lives to live and think about so that they wont be talking about everybody else.

4. sakim - nobody wants to share... on the other hand, i have had experience with the locals who live just on the village along the bagasbas beach and they are not selfish coz they know they dont own the beach, that no one should own the beach.. the guys who doesnt want to share are those who dont really have close communion with the ocean or nature. here's what ive been observing: the people who doesnt want to share are those who are from the cities or somewhere else.. this may have political-agenda or business agenda in nature... but those locals... the ones who live along the beaches are really nice and friendly....

anybody can post their reactions to my posts. these are observations and may be refuted. if you can prove i am wrong, then i will stand down. smiley

chill out!

you're right omi...... it's all just crap to start labeling or standardizing or bashing others out just coz they are not politically correct with things they say.

world class wave.... it's all bullshit if you have to keep instilling that this is a world class and this is not... you're not focusing on enjoying the ride anymore but on the technicality... i sometimes say epic in daet... i watched billabong odyssey and found a real epic wave...... but what if people hasnt defined these waves as "epic" or "world class" yet? what if we go back in time when all the people just enjoy the waves and not start labeling and comparing?

that's why right now the world is really full of shit and crap...... coz a lot of people want to box everybody else into a certain classification or another.

whatever dodo says, each reader can either believe or not believe or either get curious and go there or just dont mind and dont read at all. there are even those who dont read the forum at all so what's the big deal?

not to disrespect you, cane_toad, but if you really think dodo's words are all bullshit, then why go on and read it and post replies? why do you even need to spend longer time to research on the meaning of his name? do you know the meaning of toad? or cane? and why do you need to go find some "authoritative" definition? cant you make your own? after all, surfing isnt surfing yet when it started. the english dictionary just made it "surfing".....

you know what would make things more interesting? if we start redefining the world. cheers "dude"!

1. friendship
2. unity
3. respect
4. honesty / integrity
5. honor
6.

fill it up bradders.... smiley

one minor note if i may... all the moralities that are shown by people that are into surfing arent attitudes that are just shown in surf.... they are attitudes of the day-to-day life and the requirements for the world to have its continuity... what we show in the surf community reflects who we are as a whole even outside of it.... lack of these means downfall which may happen at different paces and rate, but downfall nevertheless.... they may be subtle but they are degradation nevertheless..... i may say a lot but i do observe a lot, too.

ser reccos and ser spoonman, i think it's best if you give reasons or cite incidences why you decided to post propagandas against fluid... if they did wrong to you, you should specify them. that way, things will be clear to you and to them.. there's even a chance that they didnt know they did anything wrong to you (or to zamba) -- that's if they did anything wrong at all.... it's really best to support your claims with facts... that's if you want to settle this thing once and for all. smiley i dont side with anyone but i know the guys from fluid and i know that i have the same cause in daet as you both do in zamba so we are in a way of the same values when it comes to that.

we all surf and are enthusiastic about this community so let's try and put all things in balance so we can maintain it for a long time.... kasi, it's easier to take over anything if there's no unity. if we all continue bashing and destroying each other, there will come a time when the philippine surfing community isnt a community of local filipino surfers but of businessmen and capitalists.. there wont be any room for us with souls anymore.

does it even matter? or are there really surfers who thinks it's a big deal if they're the ones who has a say at something, some spots or anything, than others...? or that it's a war if somebody else raises his or her point?

this beach rats thingie..... the bagasbas beach locals -- the ones who really live in front of the beach itself -- these are the ones that i may also call beach rats... but i dont... coz they arent rats. they are humans.... and i kept coming back to bagasbas to mingle with them....

i dont know who these allan and jason guys are but if i am not mistaken, they are guys of the same level as the bagasbas boys.. the true locals.... the only difference with the guys from the town is that they dont have as much resources as the other ones... so correct me if im wrong.

the reason why these 'so-called' beach rats in daet knows how to respect visitors, fellow-locals, and surfers from the town is because they have been shown respect in the first place... guys like alvin obusan did help them by providing them means of living (such as jobs and handcrafting knowledges)..... that's why whenever any tourist go there, you wont see them bashing each other or thinking "im rad and you're not"... because they know what respect means.... which unfortunately is lacked by most of us here.

i think this just shows how there are people who dont respect others... even people of their own kind.... and i think we should start changing our attitudes...
