A handle is not reserved just by typing it here -- it belongs to whoever verifies their email for it first. If someone else picks the same one and verifies before you do, you will be asked to choose another.
Your handle is anonymous to other members. It is not anonymous to a court. Philippine law requires us to keep connection records for six months, and we will hand them over if legally ordered to. We cannot protect you from that.
Deleting your account removes what other members can see right away. The underlying subscriber record is kept for six months and cannot be deleted sooner -- the same law that requires us to keep it in the first place. And our own records are not the only ones: Vercel and Supabase, who host this site, keep their own request and sign-in logs on retention schedules we do not set and cannot purge.
