as a matter of fact ser longjohn, i was 100% normal when i wrote that... hahahha... alang booze dito sa bahay e. musta dyan sa daet ser? back to normal na ba? me kuryente na ba? hehehe.

ser longjohn.. alang nagsabing rats mga taga bagasbas.... ako lang nagisip na malamang yung rats na sinasabi ni hagobel e kapareho nung treatment ng iba sa mga taga bagasbas.... usap tayo in private pare.

whatever the "roots" is, i believe surfing didnt have its roots (or started) in the philippines..... hehehe.. unless there's some guy here who's got an ancestor in the philippines, who can claim it started here by some reason...

to me roots doesnt have anything to do with surf... roots is where a person got opened to the environment other than his own home.. it's where we started to grow.... my roots is in daet coz that's where i grew.. that's where i learned most of the things i need to learn while growing up.... we migrated to laguna after 10+ years but my blood still tells me to go back there when ive made myself up... it just so happen that when i got interested in surfing and wanted to surf LU, i found out that daet's also a surf spot...

so.. "back to my roots" it is....

come to think of it... this localism bullshit.. those people who doesnt want to share their spots... they remind me of gollum.... of smeagol.... your preciousssss.... you want your "ring" all to yourself.... you're being eaten by greed... your mind has been corrupted... but dont worry there's a cure to that sickness.... and it starts with being open-minded human being who still uses the functionalities of the mind...

come on you guys.. those who want to have the spots all to themselves..... if you can stay there forever without touching a single soil in manila or in any other land or surf spots other than yours.. i'd respect your decision of not sharing your hole... just make sure you dont come down from your provinces to any other places... even your local town proper.... im sure im not alone in this view... and i believe if you do that, you'll still be healthy.. there's plenty of spaces for you to plant fruits and vegetables, and raise livestocks.... you'll be able to create your own 'customized' boards from woods without the help of those outside of your vicinity... you'll learn to survive and create your own tribe... it's like restarting what started in hawaii ages ago... when surfing has been discovered.... except that you'll be better when you start coz you already had a lot of years of experience shared by other people to you when you start.... it's fun to create that kind of tribe, aint it?

on the other hand, i believe everyone is entitled to all the spots all over the philippines... for no one owns the ocean... just as no one owns any mountains in the philippines that mountaineers climb.... but in the same sense as climbing, we should all respect the ocean... and the locals.... and not take advantage of them... there are locals who doesnt even know how to speak english or read or write.. much more post in the forum..... but even so, they are still humans and still need to be respected -- and should be respected even more than the ocean or any other things in the world coz they are human beings... respect is a given and should be given to all beings... humans or otherwise... let's use but dont abuse.

cheers y'all! what's happening in this forum is good because we are weeding out what we see as bad habits or attitudes.... just as i said to another surfer earlier, i believe if we all just put our minds and heart to it as serious as we can, we can change our stars.... we can start something new.... a surf culture that's philippine-brewed.

stop the greed... stop the hate.... stop the 'im better than you' sickness... stop the "im hardcore you're not" attitudes... and just respect..

...and... to those who still thinks i know and am close with spoonman and wished for me to introduce him personally to you guys, i would like to make it clear that i treat him as "friendlies" and that if we have the change to jam, i think it will really be fabulous... but i have never met the guy... i only agree with his points. sayang he wasnt in the sagiuijo gimik... if he were, i would be able to really pinpoint who he is.

that's all dudes.... as much as i want to introduce you to spoonman, i wont be able to.... you should find somebody else closer to him.

hi rtt... hehehe...... maybe we should redirect the fund to your utopian commune since you were the one who keeps talking about it.. i dont think there's any definite, one-sided utopia but i believe that there should be peace and respect no matter where or what you do.. if you see that life isnt about that, then it's your belief and if you're happy that way for the rest of your life, then you will die happy... and that's what matters, right? at least that's what i think.. and believe... i think utopia is a state of mind.

anyway, this whole thing between fluid and dodo and spoonman didnt even start there... it started when people started bashing other people here in the forum.... but come to think of it, that's life, right? there will be those who will bash and there will be those who will defend... there will be fights and there will be peace.. i will keep on wanting peace and respect and there will be others who will have grin smeared on their faces to every words i say... there will be those who believe, and those who wont.... black or white, good or bad.. they all make our world more colorul... and we're all bound to end...

tsk tsk.. kawawa naman yung isang namatay... pero at least 2 nasagip laki epekto nyan sa dalawang nabuhay.. sa namatay, sana masarap ang sistema niya sa kabila ng buhay.

yan ang problema sa gobyerno at mga tao dyan.. pag kelangan mo sila tulad ng pagpapaayos ng rescue station at pagtulong sa kalinisan ng bagasbas, palaging alang pera o oras.. pag me nangyayaring ganyan ikaw sisisihin... pero ang totoo nyan, volunteers lang lahat dyan di naman sineswelduhan.... imbes na makita nila yung nasagip na dalawa ang nakikita nila yung hindi nasagip na isa... buti sana kung ala man lang nasagip kahit isa e... they dont even know what it takes to go out and rescue somebody.. ang hirap nun pare... sobrang hirap dahil bago ka lumabas at sumagip andun na yung pagtatalo sa isip na baka hindi mo abutan at ikaw pa sisihin pag hindi mo nasagip... lalo na dahil hindi naman professional na rescuers ang andyan.. talagang kawang gawa lang. we can only do so much.. and then they still wouldnt appreciate it... hay naku.
