I have an old McT 7" board for sale in violet. The board actually sucks but might be of help for a beginner to try surfing..I bought it for Php 7,000 4 years ago but just used it twice. It's a PE Plastic board with a rubberlike coating so you don't have to wax it. Give it away for Php 2,000. Any takers ?

On my last trip to Bataan with the ferry from Manila I learnt that they have also now direct ferries to Lubang Island. Lubang could catch some NE or SW swell and the idea to just drive to Roxas Blv, hopp on a ferry in Manila and go straigth to the surf is for Manila based surfers very appealing...

Anybody ever been to Lubang Island and have seen surfable waves there ?

The boat supposedly leaves at the port closed to the Philippine Cultural Center along Roxas Blv. where also the fast ferry to Bataan (Orion) departs. When I go to Bataan next time will try to get some details. I would guess it takes about 4-5 hours to get to Lubang Island (depending on the kind of boat they are using....)

Good Post Rohos....fully agree with you. You been kitesurfing in Subic ? From what beach did you launch ? (hope there are no secret spots yet for kitesurfing considering you are definetley the only kitesurfer in whole Luzon..)

What kite did you use and how many bft was the wind ?

I ask this coz I bought a Naish R3 (13.5) last year but didn't have the time yet to practice but Subic would be the most acsessable spot to go.  

Do you consider subic a good (safe) spot for kitesurfing ?
