Hey guys, whew, finally figured how this goes. Anyways, been wanting to surf all my life, been passionate with the water,love the beach and now I kinda realized that life's too short to keep passing up the chance to hit the waves.

If anyone's willing to gimme lessons for extra bucks, I'd really appreciate it. Pro or Non-pro doesn't matter, just as long as they could teach me. Been reading yer forums to see where I could pick up a board.

Very educational Al   ,I'll consider that one of the first tips I got from you. It's great that you actually started this. A male friend of mine who learned how to surf in Australia (and thinks he's all that  ) gave me that exact same tip - go with the longboard first. Guess he was right all along...In the beginning, I thought he wasn't serious, coz he was kinda discouraging me when I told him that I wanted to learn. But now I know that,I'd go find myself a longboard.

Can't wait.....
