A few letters were forwarded from the presidential email guys to the mayor of Borongan. Kind of in a tizzy due to the presidential ek-ek, it seems the mayor is asking for a review of the "shore lease," which is patently bogus anyway. See wha happens next, but this is Pinas...

RT glad to see that something is happening about our friend in Borongan. At least we know the email the President thing works. Keep the pressure on and the problem will disappear.
Milly we have had that southerly blowing for three days now and still its flat. Probably had a lot to do with the massive souwester blowing all day Sunday. Looks like there is swell marching up the coast so you will probably see some of that. Notice you have had your status downgraded to newbie. grin huh tongue
Cheers

Seaside Point, 6 to 8 ft. offshore wind, 77 degrees, 4 to 10 people out. That will take some of the sting out of my post- Phils vacation blues !

Surf pumping over here again. Cronulla point was 6' last night. You getting any waves up north Milly or are you back in the PI. I will probably be in PI next month if all goes well. Might catch up with you Al for a drink in Manila if you want. Unfortunately I cant disclose the surfing location I will be heading to but there are a couple of photos in the waves section called Lihim Right and left so if you know where they are then I may see one of you there. Hope you are all getting waves. Looks like you had some classic waves during the comp in Siargo last month. We have just come off a 6 week flatspell thought I was still in the Philippines. Any way cheers hope the swells pumping and the crowds are down. grin smiley wink

Hey Al hows your reef surfing. Do you think if you can get me drunk enough you wont be drunk enough to remember it. I will disclose the spots when I am too old to surf anymore or when the locals feel they are ready for a surf invasion. Funny place to have such good surf and no local surfers. Seek and ye shall find. If we have a drink together I will give you a couple of cryptic clues to set you on your way.
Sssssshhh  huh grin
If anyone out there has seen Mark Lawless can you let him know that I may be coming over. I will leave a message at the Birdwatchers with Ricky and I will try and contact John Humble in Angeles and leave a message with him to let him know of my plans. Apreciate it if someone can let him know.

heya mark,

it's close onto 2 months now since we've had ANYTHING over 1-2foot.I went to Kirra point at the Goldy on Tuesday and it was the classic clean barrel Kirra..................just at 2-3foot rolleyeswas fun tho,on the old skool, single fin longboards

Looking at heading back to the Phils to live/study around Christmas/New Year-if everything settles down here.My whole family is going over this time(holiday)!!SCARY THOUGHT!!My older brother hasnt surfed out of Oz before,so he's kinda amped about surfing some global waves!I'm looking forward to dropping in on him  grin

HEY!When I was staying at Ermita-we were checking in and this american guy came up to me cos he saw my boardbag...he's from,I think So Cal and he's lived in the Philippines for 5 years. He's just been travelling/surfing around the Phils for 5 years. He was such a classic character, about 25-30 years old and has turned into such a surfing feral!....he told me about a few places I've never heard of-how to get there and how it works, but I remember he mentioned "Lihim"....hmmm..just wondering if any of you guys have struck him around anywhere before...

HAPPY SURFING!
