Is this forum still alive?

Got a few questions:
1. Is there a a particular height board for a particular height guy?  Say for a long or medium board?

2. where can i buy new or 2nd hand boards in Metro Manila?

Your height & weight would matter in picking the right size board.  If you're starting out and want to try a shortboard, plan on getting a board that's around a foot taller than you.  You need to look a the thickness to help you in paddling.  You don't want a thin board when you're just starting out.

If you plan on going longboarding, plan on a board approx. 9'.  I'm about 160-lbs and I ride boards from 8' to 9'-6".

Sorry, don't know where to get boards in Manila.

Thanks for the reply man! Where you from?  Im surprised you actually hinted on starting with a short board.  Msot surfers advice me to stay clear of it until ive been surfing long enough.  I actually am thinking of a medium sized board. why?  Well, I want the ease of use of a long board and the walling capability of a short board.  Are my premsies correct?

Im about 5'11" and weigh 150 pounds
