if you can offer quality products youve got a market, weve got people selling imported wax here for around 2 greenbucks a piece, it sells for for much less than that in the states or oz. if you can offer affordable yet good wax i dont think youll have a difficulty in getting local surfers and even shops to patronize it. good luck! keep the good vibes goin in the phil surf scene smiley

as long as the wax sticks to your board like "sticky bumps" and it smells like pina colada, I will buy it from ya anyday. The best wax to use (from my opinion) is sticky bumps, grips awesome! make something with the kinda of consistency, then you're all set. Sex wax is way too slippery

Al most wax retails here in australia for around $3.00 per block unless you buy in bulk.

onat; here in northern california o'neills give you a free bar when ever you buy something from them.  Sexwax retails for less than a buck.  If you make wax, maybe you can sell it to Surf shops in the PI, then they can start distributing them for you.  If surfer's like it, they will return.  I agree having a scented wax is a plus, pineapple or guava would be kool in the PI.

$3.00 for a bar of wax! shocked  Seems expensive.  A enterprising person could probably make a wax here in PI, ship it to Australia and retail it for cheaper than that...just an idea that needs more research.  Locally made wax certainly could under cut the prices here in the Philippines though.  I think you should give it a try. smiley

Douglas I pay between $1 and $2.50 for wax in Australia. (0.65 - 1.65 in USD)It may be more expensive in South Australia because there is less of a market for it down there.
Sponj we have a brand called coconut wax over here. I had to stop using it because I would keep taking little bits off my board and chew it when I was surfing it smells that good.
Hope your all getting wet we are over here.
Cheers
