Hey...First off...I'm new to this forum..but have been checking out this site for a while now...good job everyone and keep the surf stoke going..I just planned a solo trip to the Phils starting Jan 20 through till Feb. I'm so stoked to be able to come over there and visit your country and hopefully get stoked with some good waves. I'm a little nervous about travelling by myself, but at the same time excited. I'm from California and this will be my first visit to the Phils. I've never even surfed anywhere else besides the freezing cold waters of northern Cali. I've been researching the breaks and all, and was thinking of going to Badoc..but wanted to also check out Zambales, La Union, San Juan, Vigan, and then possibly head north and check out Badoc. But I'm thinking it might be more fun for me to just go straight to San Juan surf resort and stay there and just surf the breaks around there. This way I could maybe get to know some of you in the line-up and hang out an make some new freinds. Any coments regarding this? Any suggestions? How are the waves during that time? How have they been recently. I'm only bringing one board.. a 6' 10" fish. How is the night-life around San Juan? Is there stuff to do there besides surf? I hope to see you all in the line-up and don't worry I will have complete respect for all the locals and your breaks. I just hope we can share and enjoy the waves.

howz it bruddahs, i am coming to the phillipines also from jan 10 to the 25 for a urban arts tour (breakdancing, djaying, and a whole bunch of hip-hop events)...im from the bay area of northern california also.. union city to be exact and i would like to meet all you guys also.. i got a bunch of my buddies stoked on surfing in the p.i. so we can all go charge it. unfortunately im not sure if i am going to bring my board (5'11" Town & Country, round pin) so i was wondering what the deal is with renting some nice boards too. you can hit me up on aim: euphoria510 and we can talk about the trip... thanks keep searching
